A WORK IN PROGRESS BUT A PIECE OF WORK NONETHELESs

I was born New Year’s ‘95 and life’s been a party ever since.

Okay, that might not be the case. There’s also been a lot of hard work, and maybe even a few hard times. Overall, I am privileged to be able to share my experiences with you. Good and bad.  Like me, this website is a work in progress. It will never be “finished,” and I will always try to improve it. That being said, here is what I know to be true:

I was born in Sacramento, California to young parents that did a pretty good job. Since day one, I have been immersed in music, art, and pop culture. I’m often met with confusion from older folks when I bust out obscure references from days before my time. Blame my parents! Some might consider allowing your children to watch VH1 specials a “questionable decision,” but honestly it just made me cooler.

Being raised with a healthy dose of punk rock, hip hop, and house formed me into the confused music nerd I am today. Although I’m pretty much talentless in this area, my passion for discovering and consuming music is insatiable. I spend way too much time curating playlists on Spotify, (link at bottom of page) and scouring the internet for unique artists. What I lack in musical ability, I make up for in knowledge and dedication.

This hunger has translated into my love for concerts and live entertainment. Working in radio for almost 3 years allowed me to scratch the surface of the events industry, and I’d love to stay involved. In the coming months, I hope to continue sharing my experiences through photography, writing, art, and more. Stay tuned to find out what that means.
